WinContig – Portable File defragging tool

WinContig is a tiny (300kb) and portable file defragging tool which required no installation and doesn't create any installation directories or Registry entries on your computer. This program is suitable for quick defragging of files and folders without the need to defrag the whole disk

Because of the defragging and analyzing processes are based on kernel-mode interface library functions, the process is safe and there is no risk of losing data.

WinContig supports two different defragmentation methods – Quick and Smart. Choose quick method only if you use tools like Windows Defrag to defragment your hard disk on a regular basis other wise choose Smart method.

In addition, WinContig allows you to group files into profiles, and also it accepts a number of optional command-line switches that you can use to control how the program operates.

WinContig is a free application designed for Windows 2000, XP and Vista operating systems. As a user of Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista you have to be logged in with full administration rights. (via – Uploadsblog)
