BoxMaker – Create software box, CD box, etc

Saturday, December 27, 2008

BoxMaker is a tiny (644Kb) three-dimensional virtual-packaging design tool. It transforms your image artwork (bitmap or JPEG) into a 3D box in real time using the OpenGL library which is supported by most PC graphics cards. You can create impressive software boxes, CD jewel cover, Pizza box, shoe boxes, etc with very little effort.

The program is quite simple to use and allows you to rapidly prototype your packaging designs. You can easily select the cover images, rotate, pan and zoom your box in real-time. 3D Box Shot can then write high-quality bitmap or JPEG images of your box, which can be edited for inclusion on your website or in promotional literature.

BoxMaker can also be used to display three-dimensionally-rotated images. However you need to create images for your box with other image editing tools and it supports only Bitmap and JPEG images. You can download this free software from the developer’s site.
