How to download You Tube video using Google Chrome?

Thursday, September 10, 2009

There are several ways (software tools, manual methods) for downloading videos from sites like You Tube.

Here is a simple method to download videos from YouTube using your browser Google Chrome and without installing any software.

First of all, make sure that your Google Chrome always shows the 'Bookmarks bar'. If not, click Ctrl + B to enable this.

Now right click on the bookmarks bar to create a new Bookmark. Select Add Page and enter any name (e.g. You Tube Download) in the Name field.

In the URL field enter the following script code.

javascript:window.location.href = 'http://youtube.com/get_video?video_id=' + swfArgs['video_id']+ "&l=" + swfArgs['l'] + "&sk=" + swfArgs['sk'] + '&fmt_map' + swfArgs['fmt_map'] + '&t=' + swfArgs['t'];

Click OK to save the settings. Now whenever you will be watching a video at YouTube, using Google Chrome, just click the Bookmarklet button just created to start downloading that video . [Via – Techmynd]
