Google URL shortening add-on Goo.gl for Firefox browser
Wednesday, December 23, 2009
Recently Google launched a URL shortening service at Goo.gl and is available with their toolbar.
Here is a simple extension to Firefox browser called Goo.gl lite, which let you use Google’s URL shortener service without installing their 2Mb toolbar (There is an add-on to Google Chrome also).
To use this add-on, install it from here. Then drag the Goo.gl lite icon to address bar. To do that, go to View – Toolbars – Customize, and drag the icon.
Clicking the Goo.gl button will generate a goo.gl URL and copy it to your clipboard.
