Windows Surface Scanner for Detecting Bad Sectors (Free full version)

Friday, December 18, 2009

Windows Surface Scanner is a powerful software tool for Windows (XP, Vista and Windows 7) that will quickly scan your hard drives and let you know if there are any sector errors.
It will read each sector of a physical drive that is currently mounted on your Windows system. Each sector is examined for a read error. If a read error occurs the error counter will increment.
It is very normal that a small number of sectors will normally go bad during the lifespan of a hard drive.
But if you have several bad sectors it would be wise to back the hard drive up immediately. Download Windows Surface Scanner at the source
