If you use Google Docs for text editing purposes, here is a very simple Notepad like application for your desktop.
The freeware application called Nocs lets you make changes to to your Google Docs documents or crate new documents without having to open the Google Docs website.

Nocs utilizes the Google Document List API for synchronizing text documents with Google Docs. This allows quick editing regardless of user or physical location.
Nocs requires Microsoft .Net Framework for installing and you can simply work with it just like Windows Notepad.
