BitDefender is offering a free Downadup Removal Tool from a new domain

BitDefender has developed a tool for disinfecting all versions of Downadup viruses (also known as Conficker) and is available free for all infected users from a new domain at http://bdtools.net. If infected, this worm disables Windows Update services and blocks access to most of the anti-virus websites in order to prevent the user from disinfecting his computer. Moreover it install rogue security software on the infected machine. Downadup propagates rapidly by exploiting a critical vulnerability in Windows RPC Server and also through USB devices.

This removal tool provided by BitDefender detects and eliminates all traces of Downadup worms and probably BitDefender is the first to offer a free tool from a new domain without being blocked by the e-threat.

To disinfect your computer, download (2.5Mb) this free tool from http://bdtools.net and unzip it. Run the executable file: bd_rem_tool.exe and wait until it finishes.[Via]
