New Anti-Rootkit (Version 1.08) from Panda Security

Rootkits are malicious programs that enable administrator-level access to a computer or network system. It monitors traffic and keystrokes and makes a backdoor into the system for the hacker's use. A special feature of rootkits is, being well masked they often hide their presence from virus scanners. A scanner specialized in this type of malicious programs can only help you to solve the issues.

Even though a few of modern virus scanners are comes bundled with rootkit scanner, a standalone scanner specialized in this category will be useful for most of us. It removes these types of pests and repairs manipulated drivers, registry, system files and process.

4. Various improvements have also been made to the disinfection of unknown rootkits, some false positives reported by some of you, and more deactivation routines.
