FARR: An easy to use, super fast application launcher

Farr is an easy to use application launcher for Windows (Windows 7, Vista and XP) that helps you rapidly find and launch programs or documents from within the depths of the start menu or other directories. There are several similar programs, but I think FARR (Find and Run Robot) is much better and quite easy to use; just one key press launches the utility, then just start typing the name of the application you want to run. When it appears in the result box, press the number associated with the app to launch it.

Press your chosen hot-key (default Enter key) to display the FARR window, then just start typing the first letters of the application you want to launch and the results appear instantly. Hit enter to launch the top result, or refine your search with special modifiers and commands.

There are several configuration options (bit difficult) to make FARR better. It lets you quickly run web searches, send email, manipulate files, control on-screen windows, and much more. Build and share custom commands or install plug-in to add tons of new features, like live search features for your clipboard history and your internet bookmarks; a popup a calculator with history tape and persistent variables; and many more.

FARR is free (via) and supports Windows 7, Vista and XP. More information and download (5.5Mb) is from Donationcoder.

Restore Lost Capacity Of Your USB Flash Drive (How to)

Some malware can hide full capacity of your USB flash drive. For example, a 4GB pen drive sometimes shows only 500kb or less. An interesting part of this situation is that, even after removing the malware or formatting the USB flash drive, you will not get back its original capacity. Therefore, the question here is how to restore a USB flash drive to its full capacity.
