Microsoft has released the public beta version of their new free antivirus program called 'Microsoft Security Essentials' intending to help users fight against the evergrowing threats. This free, real-time anti-malware solution from Microsoft might give real-time protection from viruses, spyware, root kits, and Trojans.
Microsoft Security Essentials (formerly known as Morro)is available for Windows XP (32bit), Windows Vista and Windows 7 (32bit/64bit) editions and can be downloaded from http://www.microsoft.com/security_essentials/
Features included are: Real-time protection from malware, Dynamic Signature Service, Rootkit protection, Lightweight , CPU throttling, Idle-time scanning, Smart caching and active memory swapping.
