Backup your USB flash drives by creating its image

USB flash drives, pen drives or memory drives are of course great data storage devices and has several advantages. The advantages can be its disadvantages too. Flash memory is not secure and stable forever. Data loss or data corrupt from a USB flash drive is a common thing. Moreover USB devices are small in size, therefore very easy to lose or steal.

So it is very important to have a backup of your USB drives on you computer or anywhere else to prevent any possible data loss. Here is a freeware tool that can create exact backup images of USB flash drives.

USB Image Tool is a freeware utility (currently beta) that works with any USB device including flash drives, card readers dig cams, cell phones MP3 players, etc.

Features includes:
- create raw/compressed image files of USB drives
- restore images of USB drives
- show USB device information
- manage favorite USB images

Using this program is quite simple. No installation is required. Just unzip and run the utility (.NET framework 2 required). Click ‘Backup’ and select a location to save the file. Before saving, select a file type; image, compressed image file, etc. You can restore it by using the same utility.
