There are several Gmail Notifiers (here/here), but this one is specially made for Widows 7 and comes with Windows 7 new feature Jumplist.

The program is very simple to use, no installation is required. Just unzip and run the tool, click + icon to add your Gmail accounts, specify a time interval (1 min or above), select a sound (if required) for notification, and click Ok to save. That’s all.

To preview new mails from multiple Gmail accounts, just hover over your mouse on the Gmail Notifiers tray icon (or right click on it to bring jumplist).

If you don’t like this feature, you can disable this in your browser. Here is how to disable this in Internet Explore/Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Internet Explorer: Go to Tools - Internet options - Security tab - Custom Level button - Miscellaneous category - set "Allow Meta refresh" to Disable. Firefox: Go to Tools - Options - Advanced - General - Accessibility and tick the option next to ‘Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page’. Alternatively you can use extension RefreshBlocker . Opera: Go to Preferences - Advanced - Network and uncheck "Enable automatic redirection".
