VMLite XP Mode Enables Windows XP Mode in Windows 7 Without the Need of Hardware Virtualization

Windows XP Mode is a new feature for Windows 7 which makes it easy to run many old XP programs directly from your Windows 7 PC. But you required Professional or Ultimate editions of Windows 7 and also your system processor must support hardware virtualization

If your system doesn't meet the above requirements, here is another tool called VMLite XP Mode which is similar to Microsoft XP Mode, but doesn't require hardware virtualization.

It allows you to run Windows XP at the same time from your desktop running on a different host operating system.

To install VMLite XP Mode, it needs VMLite Workstation and a licensed copy of Windows XP in virtualized image file format. (A licensed copy of virtualized Windows XP image file can be prepared by VMLite Workstation.)

  2. I completed this process earlier tonight. It works wonderfully. I'm so happy to have virtualization running while not having a virtual ready CPU.
    Thank you
