Track webpage changes automatically with Page Monitor

Page Monitor is a Google Chrome extension that notifies you whenever a particular webpage changes. You need not to visit the site again and again for finding new information.

This is especially useful, for example, to find discount deals on some products or gadgets like iPod Nano, usually we search on shopping sites like Amazon, eBay or Froggle (Google Product Search).

But to find a good deal we need to check the page again and again or subscribe to the RSS feed. But unfortunately, none of these shopping sites publish feeds.

To use Page Monitor, after installing the extension, simply go to a page you would like to monitor, click on the Page Monitor icon and select "Monitor This Page". Now whenever this page changes, the monitor icon will display a notification on its badge.

Of course, you can repeat this for any number of pages. You can also change the check interval and badge color from the options page.

In addition, expert users can track changes to particular elements on the page (e.g. a price tag on a shopping site) by specifying a regular expression to match against the page's source code (the result of applying this expression is compared).

  4. Hi - Femtoo - (http://femtoo.com) has been able to do this for some months now. But Femtoo also has these key features:

    - Monitor particular parts of a page
    - Create your own RSS page for your trackers
    - Parse data and check for particular conditions (share price hit a certain amount etc)
    - Premium accounts can create 'low latency' trackers for critical monitoring applications
    - Receive notifications via email, Instant Messenger and soon SMS (I think)
    - Add a 'widget' to any page to allow people to 'subscribe' to a 'tracker'
    - It uses the amazing cQuery (http://cquery.com) Server-side CSS Content Selection Engine
    - You can publish 'trackers' to the 'Tracker Library' and anybody can subscribe

An interesting part of this situation is that, even after removing the malware or formatting the USB flash drive, you will not get back its original capacity. Therefore, the question here is how to restore a USB flash drive to its full capacity.

Disable automatic Meta refresh/redirect of websites in browser for security reasons[how to]

Generally speaking, Meta refresh is a method used by some websites to instruct a web browser to automatically refresh/redirect the current web page after a given time interval. You can see this type of refresh/redirect especially in media sites. This is some times annoying or can be used for malicious purposes by redirecting you to a malicious site. If you don’t like this feature, you can disable this in your browser. Here is how to disable this in Internet Explore/Chrome, Firefox and Opera. Internet Explorer: Go to Tools - Internet options - Security tab - Custom Level button - Miscellaneous category - set "Allow Meta refresh" to Disable. Firefox: Go to Tools - Options - Advanced - General - Accessibility and tick the option next to ‘Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page’. Alternatively you can use extension RefreshBlocker . Opera: Go to Preferences - Advanced - Network and uncheck "Enable automatic redirection".
