Remove Duplicate Audio Files With DupeGuru ME (Windows, Mac & Linux)

Duplicate files, especially multiple copies of music files, occupies most of our hard disk space and unnecessarily cause a large number of files to accumulate. Manually removing them is a cumbersome job. To help you, here is a simple application called Dupe Guru ME (Music Edition) that lets you removes duplicate audio files, tags and content from your Windows, Mac OS X and Linux systems.


Dupe Guru can be configured to scan duplicate files, tags or content from the advanced option. Go to View –> Preferences and select specific tags (Track, Artist, Album, Title, Genre or Year), and enable the options such as match similar words, mix file kind, use regular expressions to identify duplicates.


Dupe Guru ME is quite easy to use. After installation, just add the music folders (click + button to add folders) which you wish to remove duplicate music files from and click Scan button.


It will display a list of duplicate files from the selected folders. Right click on the duplicate file to remove, move or copy to another location.
