URC Access Modes Lets You Stop People Copying Files Off Your PC

In certain situations, you may want to stop others copying your important files (projects, programming codes, personal pics, etc.) from your computer. Here is how you can simply disable all copying option of your PC with URC Access Modes. This free tool lets you stop people easily copying files off your PC.

URC Access Modes provides three main settings – USB Storage Devices policy, the CD/DVD Drive policy and the Registry Editor policy. Also, you can password protect your settings to prevent other people from altering it.

USB Storage Devices policy lets you switch between “Full Access” mode (users can read and write to USB storage devices), “Read Only” mode (no copying) and “Disabled” mode (no reading or writing).

The CD/DVD Drive policy lets you enable or disable your optical drives. You need to restart your PC for this to take effect.

The “Registry Editor Policy” lets you enable or disable the Windows registry editor, so no one can access your registry where your URC password is stored.

The application can be useful in offices, schools, colleges, or home. Interested users can download it from source.
