Discover hidden objects from your computer with ESET SysInspector

Saturday, January 31, 2009

ESET SysInspector is free, portable tool for inspecting your computer for any possible threats. It checks the most critical spots – the registry, running processes, startup items and network connections of Windows XP and Vista and informs the user about the existing security risks with the help of log files.

The program doesn’t require installation and can also be run directly from a USB stick. Just run the program, set the Filtering slider to Risk level (level 7 to 9) and if you find any files marked in red, you need to check it before removing it.

Sysinspector can not delete a suspected file, so make a note of the displayed items and remove it manually. Before removing any suspected files, it is wise to check the file really a malicious one. You can use RunScanner for this.
