A-squared HiJackFree is a system analyzing tool which helps you detect and remove all types of HiJackers, Spyware, Adware, Trojans and Worms from your computer. Meant to advanced users, this free tool allows you to control all kind of Auto-run programs from your computer, view and mange open ports and the processes, manage running process, view all DNS entries in the host file, control Windows explorer and browser plug-ins ( BHOs, Toolbars, etc) and more.

a-squared HiJackFree processes section lists all processes with detailed information about each process. You can filter out trusted process and can be delete unnecessary processes. The port section shows open ports and the processes which listens on the ports so you can quickly see which processes must be shut down to close a specific port.

From the auto run section you can view and edit all auto-run entries. More than 30 different auto-run locations are displayed and can be edited as well. It also shows auto-runs in files like win.ini, system.ini, autoexec.bat and config.sys and also lists all programs which are automatically run by the auto-run start menu folder.

The Service Manager allows you to see which services are installed and started. It shows full path to the executable service file in the list to help identifying potential harmful services quickly. It also lists services that are not shown in the Windows Service Manager.

The Add-ons section of a-squared HiJackFree allows you to view and edit plug-ins and add-ons of the Windows Explorer and Internet Explorerlike Browser Helper Objects (BHOs) and Toolbars.
