How to access Bing visual search from other countries?

Visual Search is a new cool feature introduced in Bing search engine, which allows people to quickly search by picture - a very useful when it comes to product search, places search, etc. Currently people outside US may not be able to access this new feature. However, you can enable this by changing the country preferences to US English in your Bing search preferences. Just enter Bing.com, click on the country displayed on the top right (thanks to Michael Aulia ), select English United States and save your preferences. Then go to Bing Visual Search (http://www.bing.com/visualsearch) and it should work (required Silverlight installed on your computer).

View search results as they appear in different geographic locations with Google Global

Google search results can be different with geographic locations. This is mainly because Google tries to serve country specific results to a user unless he switches to another Google search engine. Here is a handy Firefox add-on , Google Global, that allows you to see what the Google search results that you are viewing look like from different geographical locations. Google Global can be used in two ways: from the context menu (right click menu) or from the toolbar (View – Toolbars – Customize and drag the Google Global icon to menu bar). Simply right click anywhere on the search results page, select “Search Google Global” and select what geographic location you would like to see the results from. It is as simple as that. Firefox add-on Context Search

Context Search is a plug-in for Firefox browser , which adds a ‘ Search for… ’option in the context menu. Simply right click once you have selected a word from a webpage and choose a search engine to search, extremely easy and convenient.
