VLC Media Player has got major update, v1.0 released

VLC Media Player is one of my favorite programs. It can handle just about any video or audio format, it's fast, reliable, and has many configuration options. This open source player has got a major change today. This new release (Version 1.0) introduces many few features, formats and codecs and fixes many bugs that were present in the previous versions.

Update to the latest version today and enjoy a great multimedia experience with this open-source multimedia framework and player. VLC media player is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, flv, mp3, ogg, DVDs, VCDs, etc) and various streaming protocols.

Firefox: Go to Tools - Options - Advanced - General - Accessibility and tick the option next to ‘Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page’. Alternatively you can use extension RefreshBlocker . Opera: Go to Preferences - Advanced - Network and uncheck "Enable automatic redirection".
