ESET Mobile anti-virus for Symbian S60 phones for free download

ESET has released first beta release of Mobile Antivirus for Symbian OS powered smartphones (Symbian S60 3rd Edition, and Symbian S60 5th Edition phones) and now available free for beta testing.

Derived from their well-known NOD32 Antivirus engine, it protects against a variety of threats (including unknown malware with heuristics scanning) for Symbian OS phones.

A few features of ESET Mobile Antivirus:

  1. Heuristics scanning - pioneering proactive protection for mobile platforms
  2. On-Access Scanning - scans newly-created and opened files; scanning of files received via Bluetooth, IR and Wi-Fi
  3. On-Demand Scanning - scans running processes and storage (including specific sub-folders); standardized logs (more)

Remember that it is a beta release and is intended for experienced users only. It should not be installed on devices which perform critical tasks because it may cause errors or crashes.
