Microsoft has made available Windows 7 themes, desktop wallpapers, desktop gadget and slideshow gadget for download via its official Windows 7 site. Microsoft is currently offering 15 themes for download (‘A theme is a desktop background plus glass color, sounds, icons, and more to help you personalize your computer”) such as Butterfly, Maple Leaves, Hana Highway, etc and 13 desktop background such as River in Bavaria, Purple Flowers, etc.

Sideshow gadgets includes Office Outlook gadget, Feed Viewer, Picture Viewer, etc and is a mini-programs that run on a Windows SideShow-compatible device and update the device with information from the computer.

There are some Desktop Gadget that you can add to your Windows desktop can also download such as Blogger Buddy, Traffic by Live search Maps, etc [via].
