Symantec Released Free Norton Mobile Security LITE for Android

Symantec has released a new free Android mobile security software -Norton Mobile Security Lite – to protect your Android device against loss, theft and malware. The lite, free version offers a reliable anti-malware protection along with a remote phone lock feature.
The anti-malware protection eliminates viruses and malware before they infect your phone and the ‘Remote Lock’ feature allows you to remotely lock your phone if it is lost or stolen.

Features of anti-malware protection:
  1. Automatic virus scan for downloaded apps and app updates to protect against threats.
  2. Detects and removes mobile security threats cybercriminals use to steal your personal info, spam you with texts, or take control of your phone.
  3. Option of scanning SD card (Secure Digital) data for threats when inserted into your phone with advanced virus protection 

Features of remote Lock option:
  1. Remotely place a security lock on your phone with a simple text message so thieves can’t access your info or run up your bill.
  2. Protects your private information from prying eyes in case your device is lost or stolen.

Besides the above features, the lite edition is easy to use and will not use your phone’s resource or drain battery power.
