Avast Antivirus 5 and Avast Internet Security Suite is about to release

Avast antivirus is one of the best free antivirus solution which provides a full bouquet of system protection, ranging from antivirus, anti-spyware, network intrusion prevention, rootkit scanning, mail scanning, web protection as well as P2P and messenger scanning.

Avast is planning to release a new version 5 and will be launched in October. Version 5 will be offered in three versions: a free AV, a paid AV and a full Internet Security suite. One important thing about this release is its new graphical interface which is designed to meet all users requirements.

According Avast blog post, the free AV will contain all the features from the existing Home Edition, plus a couple of new extras. The paid AV now includes a new virtualization module as well as all the features from the free. And finally, the Security suite adds an antispam and firewall module and will thus provide you with a complete, worry-free protection.

It is said that Avast antivirus 5 is designed to have a low memory consumption, Heuristic detection (proactive, available since version 4.8) and added detection of potentially unwanted programs (PUPS). (Via and image courtesy: Avast -blog)

Firefox: Go to Tools - Options - Advanced - General - Accessibility and tick the option next to ‘Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page’. Alternatively you can use extension RefreshBlocker . Opera: Go to Preferences - Advanced - Network and uncheck "Enable automatic redirection".
