Mozilla announced the winners of its contest, “Extend Firefox, the annual competition which recognizes the year’s best Firefox add-ons.
This year’s contest launched in March and received more than 100 entries. The contest focused on add-ons that took advantage of Firefox 3.0, Mozilla’s newest open source browser. They awarded three grand prizes in the “Best New Add-on” category to Pencil which is a graphics and diagramming tool; Tagmarks that adds additional tagging icons to Firefox 3.0’s location bar; and HandyTag which provides relevant keywords for associating with bookmarked sites.
