PFrank - bulk file renaming utility

Got a ton of photos and music in your collection and these files on your hard disk overwhelm you, they need to be organized so that they are easier to work with.

PFrank can make your life a lot easier. This is a bulk file renaming utility. It can be used to rename files using regular expressions or pre-defined renaming commands.

The predefined renaming commands allow letter case translation and insertion of counters, dates, parent folder names, file properties information, tag information or other meta-data from music files, image files, HTML (or other Markup Language) files, email files, MS office files, or video files. You can also define your own predefined commands.

Even though the beginners may have bit difficult to operate, the bundled help file helps them do it well. PFrank (Peter's Flexible RenAmiNg Kit) is a freeware professional grade program that runs under Windows.

Although PFrank is was primarily designed for renaming, it can also be used for bulk Comment Editing - for adding/modifying comment tags of jpeg or MP3 files and Bulk File Properties Modifications - for quickly changing last modified/created dates or read-only or other file attributes. Internet Explorer: Go to Tools - Internet options - Security tab - Custom Level button - Miscellaneous category - set "Allow Meta refresh" to Disable. Firefox: Go to Tools - Options - Advanced - General - Accessibility and tick the option next to ‘Warn me when web sites try to redirect or reload the page’. Alternatively you can use extension RefreshBlocker . Opera: Go to Preferences - Advanced - Network and uncheck "Enable automatic redirection".
