Multiple instances of Gmail, Hotmail or Yahoo mail in Internet Explorer 8

If you have more than one Gmail account (or Yahoo mail or Hotmail account) some times you may want to log into many accounts same time. Normally this is not possible.

In Internet Explorer 8, you can do this very easily. No complicated tweaking or add-ons are required as in Firefox. Just follow as described below.

  1. Log into one of your Gmail accounts (or Yahoo! Mail or Hotmail) with Internet Explorer 8. Remember to uncheck ‘Stay signed in’ option in Gmail [For Yahoo mail uncheck ‘Keep me signed in’ / For Hotmail uncheck “Remember me on this]
  2. Now if you want to login to another account, in IE8 go to ‘File’ menu and select ‘New Session’. [If File menu is not found, enable this by going to Tools -Toolbar - Menu bar]
  3. This will open a new Internet Explorer session. Now you can open another Gmail/Yahoo mail/Hotmail account without closing your browser.
