Download manager tweak is an extension to Firefox which changes Firefox default download manager’s appearance for better usability and allows it to be opened in a separate window, a new tab, or the sidebar.

Besides the appearance change, it also includes buttons for deleting a downloaded file and re-downloading a mistakenly deleted file.
