Secure URL scanning and shortening service from Bitdefender

The use of short URLs becoming so popular nowadays, especially on social networks like Twitter, Facebook, etc. because a smaller URL make it is easier to share, tweet, or email.

Unfortunately cyber criminals can also take advantage of short URL to spread virus and redirect people to phishing sites. Because, people don’t know where they will be taken if they will click the link.

To help you, Bitdefender, the trusted security company has started a new URL shortening service called Saf.li that not only creates a short link, but it also scans the content of the corresponding page for malware and phishing.

The advantage is that, the user can be sure that the URLs shortened with Saf.li do not pose any danger.

This service also offers a bookmarklet which adds a button to your browser and allows you to shorten the web address with a click.
