StreamArmor: Powerful tool for removing infected streams (ADS)

StreamArmor is a powerful tool for discovering and deleting hidden, malicious alternate data streams (ADS) from a computer system.

Alternate Data Streams (used in NTFS file system) provides virus coders with a method of hiding rootkits (malware) on an infected machine and allows them to be executed without being detected by virus scanners. Normally ADS are not malicious, but some malware has been designed to leverage ADS to conceal itself.
