Change Windows Color With Wallpaper Or IE 9 Tab Color In Windows 7

News coming from the internet reveals that the upcoming Windows 8 has several cool features. For example, it can change Aero Glass Color automatically with the Color of the Wallpaper. If you like this Windows 8 feature, you can implement it to your Windows 7 or Vista with a small tool called Aura.

Aura is a portable tool that calculates average color of desktop background image or active window icon and sets it as Aero Glass color. It can also change Aero Color with IE 9 active Tab color.

Here is how it works. Download and run Aura (no installation needed). Right click Aura icon and choose Option.

From the Option menu, select “Get Color from Wallpaper” or ‘Get color from Active Window icon’ and then Check “Use IE 9 Active Tab Color” (if you want to change window color according to IE9 Active Tab color). Then save the settings.

Note: To change the window color according to IE9 Active Tab color, you may need to close Aura (right click and select close) and then run Aura again after running IE9.

Note: if you don't see any changes, just increase windows color intensity in personalization (Right click on desktop - Personalization -Color settings)

Aura can be downloaded source at here. It requires .NET Framework 3.5 SP1for Windows Vista.
