Working or playing for hours before a computer creates problems to your health. You need to develop a habit of resting your eyes and body regularly, but the difficulty lies in scheduling a regular break and keeping to it. Here is a simple tool for Windows called Fadetop to help you do so.
FadeTop aims to help you develop a habit of taking breaks to rest your eyes every 15 minutes (recommended for heavy computer users), as well as release tension in back, neck, shoulders and arms.
At regular intervals, it fades your desktop into a bluish color (or any color you wish), and displays current time. You can set auto fade interval, overlay color, fade duration, and opacity from the option menu.
FadeTop is a free tool and works with Windows XP, Vista, and Win7. It can be downloaded (portable or installer) from here.
