Gigabyte LAN Optimizer: Intelligently Optimize and Manage Network traffic

Gigabyte LAN Optimizer is a free tool designed to optimize the network chip (NIC card) on your motherboard as per your online activity or personal preference. It supports Realtek Network Interface Controller (NIC) 8111E and above cards and lets you mange different types of network traffics such as web browsing, downloading, gaming or watching video.

It has a very intuitive user interface and each option is easy to understand and configure. For example, the ‘Mode’ option includes 'Game Mode', 'Stream Mode', 'Browser Mode' and 'Auto modes'. Select ‘Game Mode’, if you want to play games or select ‘Stream Mode’ if you like to watch an HD video on YouTube.

The Program option lets you adjust network priorities by application or program. LAN Optimizer allows you to configure (block or prioritize) each application individually. For example, you can give priority to download manger when you downloading a large file.


From the Advanced option of LAN Optimizer, you can add the network speed manually if preferred.
There are also options to "Speed up Response Time" and remove "TCP Delay" which can improve your internet speed in certain instances.

Note: Before installing this tool, check your NIC card is Realtek 8111E or above, otherwise it will not work. For that, go to Control Panel – Network and Internet – Network and Sharing Center – Local Area Connection – Properties.
